Google Maps can still determine your location even when GPS is disabled by using a combination of other technologies such as Wi-Fi and cell tower signals. When GPS is turned off, Google Maps can use Wi-Fi signals from nearby routers and information from cell towers to approximate your location. This is known as "Wi-Fi positioning" or "cell tower triangulation," and it allows Google Maps to provide an estimated location based on the available signals in the area. However, this method may not be as accurate as GPS, but it can still give a general idea of your location. **

Yes, the location is GPS. GPS, or Global Positioning System, is a satellite-based navigation system that provides location and time information anywhere on or near the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. This allows for accurate and precise location tracking and mapping. **

However, with regular updates and proper care, some devices can last even longer. It's important to keep the device updated with the latest maps and software to ensure its functionality and accuracy. **

The Google Maps app may not be calculating new routes due to several reasons such as a poor internet connection, outdated app version, or technical issues with the app itself. It is also possible that there may be temporary glitches or server problems on Google's end causing the app to not calculate new routes. In such cases, it is recommended to check for updates, ensure a stable internet connection, and try restarting the app or device to resolve the issue. **
